Milis Rodrigues Joins ChemQuest as Commercial Director South America
The ChemQuest Group has appointed Milis Rodrigues as commercial director South America. In this role, Rodrigues will serve as a client resource while also exploring business development opportunities in Brazil and throughout South America. Rodrigues began her 33-year career in the paints and coatings industry as an R&D formulator with AkzoNobel before rising within the organization to positions of increasing responsibility.

During nearly 24 years of editorial and content development experience in B2B publishing, Sutton covered industries ranging from adhesives and sealants to specialty chemicals and advanced materials. Most recently, she served as editor-in-chief, integrated media for Adhesives & Sealants Industry magazine, where she was responsible for the publication’s eMagazine and website content.

ASTM Editorial and Terminology Standards
This ASTM column is a bit different from previous ones that delved into testing standards and their foibles, histories, how-to instructions, and analytical results. The main theme of this writing is terminology—which, when dissected, leads to exact meaning, precise communication, and a clear understanding of the definitions assigned to various technologies and technical standards. Each of the more than 140 ASTM Committees has an important standard in the library that is often ignored. This standard governs definitions for each subject category, and yet, it generally goes unnoticed during most Committee Weeks.
