ChemQuest Technology Institute skillfully solved a technical challenge for a client’s new product, helping eliminate performance problems during product launch.

The Challenge

A manufacturer of a new nanomaterial additive was experiencing technical challenges regarding the testing of the new material by a variety of different beta customers. The customers’ test data didn’t align with the test data generated by the developer and manufacturer of the nano-additive. 

If this problem wasn’t solved, it could create further problems during product launch. Realizing it lacked the internal know-how and capabilities to identify and address the discrepancy, the client asked the ChemQuest Technology Institute (CQTI) for assistance.

From Hypothesis to Root Cause Identification

The scientists at CQTI were tasked with first evaluating the problem and then testing their hypotheses.

  • Analyzed the data to narrow down the problem to one root cause
  • Communicated the root cause to the client, along with potential solutions to the problem

The Results

Our team correctly identified the root cause of the misalignment of the performance data. Armed with this information, the client was then able to modify their development and marketing strategy for the product before the issue became a much larger problem. 

Trusting CQTI to fully explore the test data discrepancy enabled the client to avoid a failed product launch that would have resulted in many dissatisfied customers.
